First days at home

Hopefully, you'll spend these with your baby and your partner. If you've been expecting it to be a romantic, gentle getting-to-know-each-other time, you may not be prepared for the fact that you won't have a moment's rest, that there'll be no time to talk to each other, that you'll start to seriously wonder if you'll ever be able to cope with this new life that you've created... And that's before your partner goes back to work and leaves you to cope alone.

Invite friends/family around, but on the understanding that they make the tea and cook the dinner. Don't feel that you have to get back to normal and entertain visitors too early - just enjoy getting to know your baby.
