Who is it for?

Sanatogen ProNatal Plus Omega-3 is tailored especially for women before, during and after pregnancy.

Sanatogen Omega-3 capsules contain the fatty acids EPA and DHA, which form the building blocks for a developing baby's brain and eyes. When you're pregnant, your body uses your fatty acid stores as a source for your baby, taking these across the placenta to help the growth of your baby's brain. So it is important that your body has a constant supply of fatty acids from your diet (e.g. from oily fish).

Taking Sanatogen ProNatal Plus Omega-3 before, during and after pregnancy can help ensure you have Omega-3 to help support your baby's brain and eye development.

Sanatogen ProNatal Plus Omega-3

Sanatogen ProNatal Plus is for women who are trying for a baby, pregnant or breastfeeding.

It is important that women have a healthy, balanced diet before, during and after pregnancy. Good nutrition is important for fertility and for helping your baby grow and develop. However, even if you eat healthily, your body may need extra nutrients as it works hard to create, grow and nourish your baby.

Trying for a baby?

The Food Standards Agency has reported that 4 out of 10 women lack essential vitamins and minerals as they prepare for pregnancy, and 40% have an unhealthy diet prior to pregnancy 1.

Taking Sanatogen ProNatal Plus Omega-3 before pregnancy can help to ensure that you are getting key vitamins and minerals which your body may need to help prepare for pregnancy.

During pregnancy

Making sure that you have good nutrition will help increase the chances of your baby being healthy.

The Department of Health recommends that you take a folic acid supplement from the time you stop contraception*. However, folic acid alone is not enough to help keep you healthy, and help ensure the healthy development of your baby. You need a healthy diet including plenty of other essential vitamins and minerals, and you may not get enough of these in your diet every day.

Sanatogen ProNatal is a scientifically proven multivitamin and mineral with extra folic acid, to help ensure that you're getting all the key vitamins and minerals your body needs to help support the healthy growth of your baby, and keep you healthy too.

While you're breastfeeding

After your baby is born, your body needs help to recover from pregnancy and rebuild its stores of nutrients. The Department of Health also recommends that breastfeeding women should take a vitamin D supplement every day as vitamin D is necessary for a baby's body to use the calcium supplied by their mother's milk.

Sanatogen ProNatal Plus Omega-3 contains the required amount of Vitamin D, and by taking Sanatogen ProNatal Plus Omega-3 after pregnancy you can help to ensure that you're getting all the key vitamins and minerals your body needs to help support the healthy growth of your baby, and keep you healthy too.

The government recommends that if you are pregnant or thinking of having a baby you should take a daily 400μg folic acid supplement from the time you stop using contraception. Sanatogen ProNatal contains a total of 700μg. The extra 300μg includes the amount the government recommends a pregnant women should obtain from her food. Sanatogen ProNatal is scientifically proven to help support the healthy growth of your baby and help keep you healthy too.

The safety of folic acid was evaluated by the independent Expert Group on Vitamins and Minerals (EVM). The EVM concluded that taking folic acid supplements of up to 1mg (1,000μg) a day is unlikely to do people any harm.

Women who are at a high risk of having a baby affected by a neural tube defect might be advised by their doctor to take more than 1mg a day of folic acid and if this is the case they should follow their doctor's advice.
